Gwyneth tends to get a bad rap for her hilariously out-of-touch lifestyle and wellness advice, but her recipes are pretty legit. I remember when this book first came out it was positioned by the media as a cleanse cookbook, and it kind of is, but really it's just a cookbook that's centered around simple, healthy, whole foods-based recipes. More importantly, they're delicious. This was coauthored by Julia Turshen, who has since become one of the buzziest cookbook authors around, so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

I have a lot of cookbooks - like, well over 100 - and I honestly can't think of another one that has contributed so many recipes to our weeknight repertoire. Favorites include Chicken Burgers, Thai Style; Salmon Burgers with Pickled Ginger and Coriander; Grilled Asparagus and Portobellos with Shallot and Soy Dressing; Roasted Cauliflower and Chickpeas with Mustard and Parsley; Brown Rice Pasta with Tuna, Olives, Fried Capers and Parsley; and Lentil Salad with Mustard and Tomatoes. I recently read it from cover to cover when I was looking for some new healthy recipes, and found several I has missed on the first pass and am looking forward to making, including several from the kids' chapter, which I had ignored before but is full of great-sounding dishes for all ages.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a whole foods cookbook.

No one has these ingredients in their kitchen. No one says, "Going to the market for almond meal, anyone need anything?"

Suck my dick, Gwyneth Paltrow. Maybe if I was a millionaire, married to a millionaire, I could eat like this. Your cookbook is as useless as your website.

Not only were there plenty of color photos of the food (very important), but there were so many recipes that looked delicious. In spite of this being a "healthy" cookbook.

If that weren't enough to make you go out and get a copy, here's something unique about this book that makes me LOVE it:

There are tons of recipes FOR ONE PERSON!

Yay! Single me can finally cook something and not have a billion pounds of leftovers!

Thank you, Gwyneth!

Not as good as her first cookbook, which is one of my favorites.

Great healthy, tasty recipes. Some family favourites were discovered in this book. The pictures are beautiful as well. Love that many are gluten free which works for our sensitivities and allergies. One of our favourites is the lamb tagine and the chicken burgers. Love the use of fresh herbs and and greens throughout the book. Flavourful dishes without being overpowering. Haven't tried a recipe we didn't like. If you love to cook and enjoy healthy eating then this is a must add book to your recipe collection.

I picked this book up after following an IG account dedicated to it and the eating lifestyles discussed within. I'm indifferent to GOOP as a celebrity spokesperson and wouldn't have otherwise looked at this book seriously - but I really like it and have recommended it to a number of people!

A little bit coffee table book meets cookbook (many MANY photos of Gwyneth, and very repetitive - but lovely - food shots), and a little bit hoity-toity (you know, for those of us who don't have apple orchards and fish-stocks ponds in our backyards) - but the recipes are (so far) delicious and not terribly time-consuming or difficult for someone who knows how to cook.

I've read complaints in other reviews about difficult to find and expensive ingredients - so far I haven't encountered the hard to find (and I live in a town with a pop. under 30k), but yes it can get expensive. As I'd expect any clean eating meal would be. Nothing shocking there!

Aside from the photo overload, my only real complaint is the size of the book and it being a hardcover makes it rather impractical to actually use while cooking.

I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in clean eating, vegetarian or gluten-free recipes, who are not on a strict/small grocery budget.

I've been dipping into this cookbook for months now.

Clearly Gwyneth Paltrow has a healthy love affair with food, and the recipes do not disappoint. I suppose the only downside would be the high cost of some ingredients and lack of availability locally. I tend to substitute with alternative ingredients instead of internet ordering.

Still, I use the recipes regularly... they are delicious and great for those of us with food-allergies.

The random photos of GP looking like the epitome of "natural wellness" are lol-inducing. But everything in this book is delicious. Amazingly delicious.

Ummm... this was okay, I suppose. No really interesting recipes that I would definitely try. I mean, she includes a recipe for kale chips. KALE CHIPS! She had that recipe in her last cookbook. And a recipe for making popcorn on the stove top? Come on, lady. Also, I could have done without the gratuitous pictures of Gwyneth with the sun shining in her hair. There are several. And by several I mean one on every other page, I think.

I got this book with trying to be healthier and cook at home more. I can't wait to start trying some of these recipes. Not really a fan of hers, but do like that she is encouraging healthier lifestyles.
