I quickly chose this as a lighter holiday story to do during my week-before-winter-break storytime. It was fun, except for two things. One, not all the kids understood the robot/machine-y words. Two, I was in the midst of a super-cold, and having to sing this really created a problem.

A little difficult to sing but my daughter insisted that we sing the book instead of read it. Cute illustrations.

I love Nathan Hale's illustrations. In The Twelve Bots of Christmas, he does a twist on the classic Twelve Days of Christmas using all robotic style "gifts" along with a Robo-Santa. This is one book that merits reading more than once in order to grasp all the nuances of the illustrations. Nice addition to a holiday collection.
