Read this for English, here are some of my thoughts/feelings :)

I'm not sure how I felt about Bri's narration. Most of the time reading I thought that he seemed quite dim, but towards the end I actually started to sympathise with way he was dealing with his emotions and I was finally able connect and understand him a little more.

Bri is an Australian high school drop out, the story begins with his first shift at his new job - a night shift worker at a milk factory. He seemed like your average awkward teenager and totally relatable in that respect, although, the way he dealt with his mothers mental illness was terrible! I didn't understand why he even bothered, I felt like she knew he didn't care and that his father influenced him that way. Acting like his mothers poor mental health was okay because "she's strong"! No your an ex/not so ex husband!!!! Look after her even if you don't love her anymore! Arrggg the father was infuriating and incompetent at being a father and I'm proud that Bri finally set him in his place at the end.

But any who the book was good, it's not something I would have ever picked up and I'm in a third person p.o.v phase right now. But I'm giving it a 3 star review because it covers some important social issues prevalent amongst today's youth (and adults), it was short and super quick to read so perfect for school.

Side note - I've read some other reviews and I've noticed that some people struggled with the Australian slang and humour. To me it was easy to understand (because I'm Australian), but if you're not Australian, the accent is shown through the dialogue so just keep that in mind!!
