i still don’t really understand poetry that well or at least i don’t seem to connect with it as much as other people do? but i do think this one got pretty close for me to resonate with some aspects of it. 

it’s definitely a poetry collection that needs to be read more than once to get the full impact but i appreciated the themes on queerness, grief and self discovery — and how they were depicted in various ways. 

i’m no expert in poetry, but i liked how the collection differed in storytelling and visuals from poem to poem, some longer and some much shorter, which made it more easy to connect to some of them more than others. but all told powerful stories no matter the length or topic in my opinion.
