A dual timeline thriller that weaves past and present together. Sam is on a mission to uncover why his father was being targeted and if his dying words hold truth.

The setup leans heavily into keeping the reader in the dark just as much as Sam throughout. While the connections to come together, it felt difficult for me to be patient when it seemed as if Sam didn’t know why he was doing any of the things he set out to. This is a read that kept me guessing though and takes the readers through quite a few twists and turns to throw us off.

You Never Said Goodbye is a thriller that follows young love gone wrong to present day mayhem. This rollercoaster of a story finds a son living in England believing his mother is deceased, only to be told she might be alive in America. The tragic way she passed has haunted Sam for his whole life as its been over 20 years since he lost her and his young brother. A sudden attack on his life in England, forces him to seek refuge in the states to find answers. Is his mother truly alive?

Sam was incredibly frustrating as he wouldn't listen to those trying to keep him safe. He ultimately escapes three attempts on life after NOT taking their words to heart. The story is a constant motion through people chasing people, fights to back to people chasing people. This story is a quick read.

This book was able to keep me interested yet it took me much longer than it should have for me to get through. By the end I was happy I read it but also would recommend it to anyone.

Spoilers ahead:

By the end of the book I was utterly pissed at Tom's character. There is not a single thing about him that I like or understand. To be honest if he did things different from the get go they may have been better off. I get it's what made the story but damn.
