I'd hand this psychological thriller to fans of Shari Lapena, Ruth Ware, Linda Castillo and Mary Kubica!

It's the pedophile neighbor. It's between him or the wife. Unreliable narrator trope.

Great thriller, twists and turns that I didn’t expect. I’d read more by this author. I liked it.

I normally like this author, but this book just didn't do much for me. In large part, this was because Maggie never felt fully fleshed out to me. It was like she was there to do narrator duties and move the narrative along, but she never felt like a real person to me. I also thought Nola was rather over the top, so I never connected much with her. And there was something vaguely creepy to me about Maggie's husband.

so this was a very fast paced and fun thriller. nothing special but not bad by any means. a little predictable and there are def still some holes,
i mean just completely dismissing the fires and online posting and phone calls is kind of insane for the author to have done.
i wouldn’t necessarily recommend it but i don’t regret reading it! a nice palette cleanser! i do think if this is ever made into a movie nola has to be played by aubrey plaza haha
