This is prime post-hunger games dystopian YA but... It's kind of amazing! It definitely is a product of it's time, and Tumblr, but that was when I was discovering my love for reading so... It is nostalgic and lovely to me.

It's super fast paced, with some distinct body horror themes & unwilling medical exams/tests - if any of that is triggering, definitely move along.

 i really enjoyed the start of this book -- the surreality of reese experiencing the june incident and trying to get home, then suffering trauma, and after that, trying to live life as normal as possible, but knowing something is off the entire time. i thought this was pretty well done and interesting, though i do think it got a little predictable by the end, and im not sure if i'll finish the series.
