I've read this manga years ago and never got to finish it until recently. I love the first few volumes, especially our main characters' interactions and actions. But the last book feels rushed and flat for me. I do enjoy the bonus chapter; it's adorable!

The ending was so insanely rushed 🥲, I don’t even know what I read. I mean, I do… but I don’t understand how we ended up where we ended up so I’m just gonna pretend the way it all worked out made total sense. I’m still glad I read the series though.

This book was the finale to a manga series that I really loved. I ended up buying the first 8 volumes at once, and I went through them so quickly. Then at the end of volume 8 on such a massive cliffhanger that I've been waiting for this volume to come out in English. I've been eying the release date on Amazon every month, wondering if I should pre-order it. Then I went into Forbidden Planet and I saw it there. I bought it. Read it. Then I checked online and it turns out that it had been out for a month haha. Just my luck.

This volume was only an okay one. It wasn't a great one, and it wasn't a great ending. The way it ended was good, but I felt like it was so rushed that I wasn't able to fully enjoy it so it ended up feeling very anti-climatic. I'm left with the feeling of oh... was that it? Especially with the device used in this volume that marked it's turning point. I feel like the literary device of a time jump should only be used once in a series and I get annoyed if it does happen because I want to see the entire journey the characters go on and not the parts which the author wants to show us.

In regards to the characters, I feel like Ryu has a complete 180. The defining part of his character changes. It makes sense because one of the two main characters would have to change their mind for a happy ending to occur, but I felt like Ryu should have done that sooner. Asuka… I don't remember if I liked her character or not. In this book, I felt very neutral towards her. I wasn't invested in her, but her relationship.

Overall, this was an okay ending to a decent series. I feel like I needed to reread it again now as it has been a while since I have read them, so perhaps a reread would make me change my original thoughts. I would recommend it if you are looking for a more adult romantic manga to read.

Lol this ended exactly how I expected. Although Kamiya just completely disappeared. Just never heard from again. He didn't even get tossed together with some rando girl to appease his second love interest hell of a storyline. Not even in the time jump. Guess he's dead or something (lol kidding). I mean this series is cute and I breezed right through it. Nothing special, but I liked it.

kind of a disappointing ending. it feels like izumi miyazono suddenly got told she had a volume to wrap this up so instead of proceeding naturally from the ending of the last volume she rushed things so ryu and asuka could end up at the altar even though i don't feel like they actually addressed the issues that led to the breakup at the end of the last volume :/

I don't think I've ever been more grateful for a manga to end. I was literally on a pg turner binge and man this was rough.

i think i expected way too much out of this series. i was expecting a bit more critique on the societal expectations of marriage, but clearly it's not that type of series. and that would've been fine, except the characters and romance felt kinda weak overall too, so there wasn't much to enjoy here for me. the breakup needed to happen a lot earlier so that the author could've fleshed out Ryu's change of heart regarding marriage. instead everything happens super quickly in the last two chapters, including a whole three-year separation which just gets waved off because Ryu and Asuka still love each other and finally see eye to eye somehow and get married and have kids and live happily ever after. not very convincing to me and i wish the ending wasn't so rushed.

I am so happy with the direction the author took in ending this series. Both Ryu and Nanami have grown so much in the period of time they have known each other. They have both figured out what they both want out of life. No one is forcing their will on the other by the end.
The little touches that the author added were great. There were some small, finishing details I wasnt sure we would see in this story. I'm glad that Miyazono took the time to give us those details.
I hope you enjoy the end of this series as much as I did!
