THIS SLAPS!!!! I loved reading this so much. We had it all: lesbians, dragons, pirates, sorcerers. My main critiques are that I started to lose interest in the last fourth of the book. It felt like it was a little rushed, and the final battle the whole book had been leading up to was shorter than some of the minor skirmishes we had read so far. BUT overall an absolute blast.

SOOOOO GOOD!!! I loved this story. High intensity fantasy, so it took a little bit if reading to understand everything going on but once I did, I couldn’t stop reading it. I had to know the ending. I thought about it all day. I bought the prequel and excited to read it, but I hope she makes a sequel. I need to know what happens to Tané, Loth, Margaret, Sabran, Ead, the Donmarta, and even Niclays!!! I need to know it all. So much great world building and very descriptive! Magic, pirates, and dragons…would more could ask for!
