i love the characters in this story so much. the pacing allows you to grow up with all of them which i found really beautiful. the march sisters had great character development and i loved reading about each one of their stories. all of the other characters (laurie, mr. laurence, marmee, etc.) are written very well. i love the connection these characters had with one another. it was so realistic and heart-warming.
amy and laurie ♡︎ i love their relationship so much. they had much more romantic chemistry than jo and laurie did, but jo and laurie’s friendship is incredible.
i can usually read a book within 3-6 days, but this one took me around 2 1/2 months…that’s the only reason it’s not a 5✰.
if you love stories about family and enjoy cozier books, this is definitely a very good option.

If you liked Anne of Green Gables, you'll enjoy Little Women. A story of three girls growing up, but also very much a morality book. No one who has read the book has ever said, "Huh, I wonder what religion the author of Little Women was." Laurie marrying Amy felt so weird, though. Like, I see what the author was going for, but Amy's his sister???

A classic I regret not reading a lot sooner. This book is about family and friends in hard times. It's about sisters being there for one another. It had everything that makes for a wonderful book!!! I love, love, love, love this story!
