I normally don’t read graphic novels, but Martin’s humor worked great in this medium and Bliss’s illustrations were exquisite! Only about the first 1/3 is stories from Martin, then the rest are random comics. Some jokes were fine, some were chuckle-out-loud funny.
Overall a light, quick, enjoyable read.

The first half of this "book" is easily 5 stars. Told through short comic form illustrations, Steve Martin offers stories and insights on various parts & aspects of his career in film. Each of these were really fun to read, and I wish there were more.
Unfortunately, the second half of this book is all one-panel illustrations that are just jokes from Martin & Bliss. It would have been better if these were references to Steve's movies or characters, or other things mentioned in the book, but that's not the case. I found myself just skimming through it. All things considered, you can get through this book in an hour if you're consistent.
Still, the first part of the book is worth taking a look at alone. You're better off just looking at it at the bookstore, or borrowing it from your library though.

I am a fan of Steve Martin. I really enjoyed the first half of this book. Then it changes into single panel vignettes and it was odd. Did the artist get tired?
