"Death is a thought none of us want to have, but one we secretly harbor. We fight the dragging pull of the world of spirits. No one wants to fight, but we do and always will. [...] Feelings, emotions, experiences, are all part of humanity's shared language, and in Linghun, that shared language is grief."

I liked the atmosphere of this book, but kinda wanted more from the plot itself? Something more about the ending? I'm not sure. I'll definitely be thinking about it for a while still. Also, I really enjoyed "Yŏngshí", the first bonus short fiction at the end. I'm interested in reading more from this author!

A weird but interesting concept. A little too short for me to fully digest what all was happening.
