Fae's Envoy

YA Fantasy Folklore
Hoopla

Gifted with his dark fae magic, Gulliver is sent by Tia to the human world to investigate rumors of humans attacking fae. But with this mission, Tia also tasked him to try and help Toby heal his heartbreak. With Toby despondent, Gulliver sets off on his own, exploring New Orleans. His rumbling stomach leads him to a diner and Sophie-Ann.

Book 10 in the Queens of the Fae series, is all about Gully and his attempt at doing whatever Tia, his best friend, and Queen, asks him to do, including going into the human world where he has limited knowledge.

It's a quick read, and with Gully's limited knowledge of the human world, he finds himself in interesting situations as he misunderstands the humans and their 'magic'.

Gulliver has been a favorite character of mine, and it was nice to see him becoming independent. It bothers me how much Tia, his 'best friend' and 'sister' takes advantage of him. I really hope he becomes more of his own person and less of Tia's gofer in the next books of the series. She seriously takes major advantage of his friendship, bordering on abuse at times.
