This book was rather disappointing compared to the previous two. The first half was manageable. It’s always hard to read a story where one main character is taken out of commission for an extended period of time. It’s even harder when it happens a second time to the other main character. And for a character brought back from literal death to, literally one page later, think about sex so quickly, felt cheap and one-dimensional. I also found several pivotal plot points to be rather predictable (other relationships, the entire ending of the book, etc). Of course there were still elements I enjoyed, such as Thea coming into herself more as a character, and learning more about Jacqueline. Still, I struggled to enoy the last third of the book, and rated this 3/5 stars. I do have faith that the last book will be better and I am looking forward to following with that.

An awesome continuation to Thea and Julian's story. We spent more time getting to know the Rousseaux family, and they're a trip! We learn more about Thea’s sire and magic, which was epic! And that ending... I'm immediately starting the next book!

I'm hooked on Julian and Thea as a couple and all the drama surrounding them. I can't get enough of the chemistry between them, the angsty nature of the story, or the adult vampire romance. I love the globe-trotting adventure and descriptions and get sucked into this story. The author doesn't disappoint with a twisted narrative that had me gasping in shock and disbelief but glued to the pages. Thea and Julian's story is a masterpiece. I can't get over how captivating the story is. I also love the fated mate's trope with the billionaire and paranormal. This book is absolutely incredible. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read more in this series.

This story starts with Thea's pov and begins just before the last book left off, so if you need a refresher, it is there. The author still finds a way to make me smile even with the story's seriousness; I can't get over the wit and sass of Thea. "Vampire Island "I love it omg, it helped me picture the location so much. The author does it again, hooking you into this paranormal romance with the steamy, angsty, addictive relationship between Thea and Julian. This couple has so much chemistry that I can't get enough of them.

This story is undoubtedly filled with rich adventure. I love all the fantastic places and homes the author describes. It makes it dreamy. There is a little editing, oops, in the book. I'm surprised the author has so many holiday items in this book; not so much for the seasonal winter, but it includes a vampire family Christmas. I love that she took the time to have something special in the book interwoven with this story's globe-trotting adventure.

Jacqueline's past is very twisted, and I love that we get her pov in this book and pieces of her story. This story gets much more complicated. If all this is just another rite, I will be astonished. I like that we get answers, but my heart is breaking for Thea and Julian. Also, the author gives me new questions with every ounce of drama and circumstance in this book.

The author doesn't disappoint with another cliffhanger ending. I can't wait for a continuation of this story. The author created a masterpiece with this story. I love the little bit of suspense, the romance, and of course, all the paranormal. But she also includes all the feels, angst, and moments to make this a story you absolutely need to read this series.

This series just keeps getting better with every book! Finding out about Julian's sister, and what happened to her over the years is a great side story that helps tell the main story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
