This book had the same vibes as the Odyssey. For some that is a high compliment but for me....not so much. I loved reading a book set in a culture we so rarely get to experience. However, for me it had all the worst parts of the Odyssey- a too perfect main character, people just hopping into bed with the MC, gods favoring him for no reason... some will find this a master piece and I'm so jealous.
