Excited for what this will bring to art history next year—presents things in an unvarnished way but exposes readers to so many new artists!!  Beautifully written and really expands and demands that new definitions of who is an artist gets to be said.

This was just great! It has so much info and beautiful examples of art. Sometimes it got a little like reading a long list but it packs in so much. A really wonderful intro or survey class of art by women. Worth your time to get the actual book and not the kindle or audio versions so you can see the art.

Was really interesting but felt I missed out a little by reading the audiobook as I couldn't see the images and reference as she was talking to them.

Learnt so much about female artists of all backgrounds from this book. Found artists I hadn't heard of that I liked such as Alice Neel, Angelica Kauffman, Hilma AF Klimt, Berthe Morisot, Marie Laurencin, Gluck, Marlow Moss, Faith Ringgold, Niki de Saint Phalle, Mirinalini Mukherjee, Lubaina Humid, Amy Sherald and many more!

v slow, felt like being in a never lecture that’s interesting enough to not leave class early but a little too slow to truly be invested the full time
