Uno de mis álbumes de Astérix favoritos, divertidísimo y lleno de pequeños detalles para el lector atento. Tanto Goscinny como Uderzo habían alcanzado ya gran maestría y lo demostraron en este libro y en los siguientes.

The Boys are back, and hey, It's the debut of everyone's favorite gaulish mascot, Dogmatix!

Caesar is in Egypt. He and Cleopatra have made a bet that she can't build a magnificent palace for him in three months. Beautiful Cleopatra, who nose is a character in it's own right, after all it's quite a pretty nose, orders the best architect in Egypt to complete this task. And who is this poor man going to call to help him complete this impossible undertaking, who else?

Ax6-1

After chapter 5, which didn't hit me quite as well as the others, Asterix & Cleopatra marked a clear step-up in terms of storytelling and comic engagement. Although the naming puns are lacking in this iteration.

Cleopatra's nose, an MC in itself, is the object of adoration of everyone, Romans, Egyptians, Gauls regardless. I also like how she is portrayed as a spoiled, tantrum throwing rich kid, who nevertheless warms up to you.

ax6-5

Most of the situational as well as satirical humor is one point, as we get to explore a new civilization with contemporary sensibilities. The romans again steal the show as everyone's favorite punching bags and red shirts.

ax6-6

When they are not helping Alexandrite the architect build Caesar's palace, the team is out about exploring the wonders of ancient Egypt. Although not without some unforeseen lasting consequences....As that kids, is what happened to the nose of the Sphinx, true story

ax6-4

On another note, my man Cacophanix cannot seem to catch a break.

AX6-2

A great addition to the series, and a great read. I give it 4 out of 5
