This was a clean romance - no sex, kisses only. Shay grew on me and I applaud her for her resilience to survive and do things on her own. I immediately like Josh though. There were a few times where something would happen that I would think "That probably wasn't the best action to take." Soon after though the character who had taken that action would come to realize it as well and explain why he/she did what he/she had done. So I applaud the author for that.
