I liked this issue of Invisible Kingdom. Everyone is trying to get back to the ship. Grix's plan fails, but Vess manages to lure Turo into helping her out by explaining about her awakening. They get back to the vessel and Grix saves Vess, but gets stuck on the wrong side of the boarding ramp. Vess uses her psychic awakening powers to communicate with Grix and tells her to jump into space towards their ship. Grix listens, and we have to wait for #10 to find out if she makes it or not.
I like the way this love story is unfolding. It's atypical but in a very beautiful way. The colours add a whole other dimension to the beauty. I thought the character development was fantastic. In one issue Grix admits she's not good with people, yet is willing to sacrifice herself for her crew, and even more for Vess. Love it. I can't wait for the next issue!
