Alfa never disappoints, and Bouquets: Letting Them Go is no exception. The book contains many tributes to mothers everywhere while incorporating truths that we all need to hear. She pulls at my heartstrings with every line. With Her Eyes, she captures my mother so well that I would swear they have met. In Seeking Truth, she spills harsh truths herself, and they are ones I so needed to hear. Pain-Dealers is my favorite though. It is as though Alfa is in my mind, reminding me of things my mother taught me growing up.

The chapbook is shorter than her usual books, but no less powerful. She speaks to the heart and reminds the soul to hang on. Five stars.

My all time favorite poet. Her words always speak to me and her poems simply touch the heart.
