Too Funny. Great story with some fun rhymes. Illustrations are cute. A bit long so maybe better for older story times or kiddos.

Great book for the preschool set! Join two karate gi wearing chickens in their quest to save their father from an unexpected dinner party. The two chicks must out wit a sly fox in this new incarnation of the Hansel and Gretel story. The illustrations are vibrant with a comic book feel to them. The rhyming words and dynamic word type really do bring the story to life! Good book for your little blackbelt!

I love fractured fairy tales and anything illustrated by Dan Santat. So glad I picked this up to add to the series in our library.

I really like all of Corey Rosen Schwartz's fractured takes. They are funny, have great kid appeal, and are a fun take on familiar tales.

I love Corey Rosen Schwartz's fractured fairy tales with her Ninja animal characters. The rhyming, tongue in cheek references, and Dan Santat's illustrations work together to make a strong addition to any picture book, fairy tale, library, or classroom collection. Students (younger and older) always laugh when reading these books.
