**I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.**

Let's be honest. Vampires, werewolves, zombies and the like are "in" right now. And it seems to me like almost everyone is doing the same stories. As much as I say that, I still read things like that. Its just something that I like. However, if you're looking for a break from the normal werewolf story, you should definitely pick this up!

Brief Synopsis: 5 years ago it was announced that werewolves actually do exist and there are a startling number of them among us. Most of them are normal people, with the exception of those three nights out of the month where they must hide themselves. In this story we meet Ted Graves, a child psychologist and werewolf. He's divorced, with a 12 year old son. His father, Pops, a retired biology teacher, spends most of his time in a lab attempting to create a solution. Suddenly Pops has been murdered and Ted, along with some help must track down this killer before the killer gets to his son.

My Thoughts: The concept of this novella really intrigued me. Any werewolf book I've ever read always has the werewolves in hiding, or they're all ridiculously evil beings. That isn't so here. Werewolves live and work beside normal people. That was something that I really liked about it.
The characters were realistic and you could related to their struggles in most ways, just minus the werewolf part. The story also jumped directly into the action and we weren't given this extended exposition that made our interest wane.
Another one of my favorite parts about this novella were the excerpts that were inserted at certain points throughout. They were interviews (one with the main character) and information on werewolves that attempted to dispel the ridiculous folklore that surrounds them.

I really liked this novella! Its was a short read that I read in two sittings (between work and sleep) and kept me entertained the entire time. Its original and definitely worth reading if you're a fan of things like this! I give this a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars!
