I finished this in 2 days.
This was sooo good! Makes you want to side eye your landlord like 🀨
Truly a landlord from Hell

But this book definitely sucked me in from beginning to end.
Mr. Brandon Massey has quickly become my new favorite horror author. I really hope he becomes more of a big deal as time goes on I have already put a couple of his backlisted books on my TBR.

OMG this book was like one of those weird a** you have and wake up not knowing where you are! All that stuff they went through with this "landlord" and to think that I live in GA and can honestly say there are some sketchy things that go on with renting.

First of all, how are you living in a home under a lease that got you by the neck then you decide its a good idea to go and do work for this crazy person that you have never seen? Man oh man. Yes, the money was tempting but that was shady with a capital "S" and this Lola person, do not get me started.

It so weird how reading a book will unlock all your anger. Have you telling the story to your friends and family like its something that really happened to people you may or may not know hahahaha.

Definitely a good read, I was glad to get into it and be able to finish it with such a busy few days. Worth it!

Absolutely loved this thriller! Cam and Dez, a couple moving into what they think is the house of there dreams. Good price, nice aesthetics, too good to be true!! My first book from this author and I’m looking forward to reading more from him.

I didn't love the dual POV in this but could see it being a movie or something.

This was my first read by this author. I wouldn’t exactly call it scary. It follows a former teacher and aspiring thriller novelist, Cameron β€œCam” Woodson and his teacher wife Desiree β€œDez” Woodson on they trials they face moving into a rental house under a landlord from Hell. Cam takes on numerous β€œside jobs” from the landlord that he’d never physically met before. All business is usually conducted by the not so pleasant leasing agent Miss Carter. I am going to be honest. I finished this story because I wanted to get through it. I was expecting something elaborate to happen but I wasn’t wowed. I haven’t read a thriller in quite sometime I am not sure what I was expecting but most of the events in this story was predictable.
