Enjoyed this book very much! I love the way the authors built the story and told the history of cattle in Hawaii. The authors did an excellent job of explaining the Colonization and racism that were happening in these eras. Very inspired to see a rodeo after this book!!

To me, it was a sad history of colonialism in Hawaii. And the awful way that animals were treated. It was a hard read. The main story was lost in all of this.

A fascinating look at a subject I thought I had little to no interest in. Reads like a novel. Really well done.
