Well what can I say. As a highly opinionated woman. I have definitely learned many, many interesting things and received various opposing views on alternative lifestyles listening to this book. If that was one of EJD's goals then I receive the message loud and clear. People in relationships do what works for them. At times there may seem to be no immediate consequences but there can be a fallout and there can be harmony.
As I began this book I read some of the reviews. I almost stopped reading (listening). It does have lots of descriptive sexual content that most other reviews have complained about. NOW that I know Decadence is the name of a private sex club, that would be why. No biggie I usually do not read any form of synopsis or these reviews prior to starting a new title either. **So consider yourself warned. **
People make compromises. Perception is everything. Hindsight is 20/20. Ignorance is bliss. Your can't have it all or can you. Just because you can does not mean you should. If your happiness is the only thing that matters you may find yourself enjoying it all alone.
My review is there is other stuff going on besides sex. If you can focus on the storyline great. If not scratch your itch then try reading more later. Still nothing ...just keep scratching.

Feels like reading the first book but with the different male characters and much later timeline.

Loved it, although it didn't end as I expected it to. It did reaffirm that somethings that happen in your past should remain in your past.

This book didn’t really have a plot. And it was often difficult to understand who was saying what. I am not opposed to sex in the books I read, but this was way too much. It became boring because there was no progression. The main character was unlikable. And there were monologues that were far too long.

Dickey is my favorite author but I've been disappointed with his last two pieces, An Accidental Affair and Decadence. I liked parts of the story, but the all the 's3x' was too much and unnecessary.

I WAS DISAPPOINTED. I read first 100 pages. I didn't have a problem with the sex, but a WARNING ; IF YOU DON'T LIKE TO READ ABOUT SEX, THEN DON'T READ THIS ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! My problem with this book it had too much for my taste woman on woman. I am not down with that. that's why I didn't like the book. If it was just threesome; swinging & forbidden fantasies between men & women only, then it would have been ok and I would have kept reading. That's my opinion.

This gets 1 star for the steamy scenes only! This book features my most hated trope of all time! It was also all over the place for no reason at all! This whole series was a mess but this book right here just ruined it for me. Ugh! Just no!
