Ride the Wave by Elizabeth Briggs

It was a bit overly simplistic, and wrapped up neatly (and quickly) with a bow. And I'm still baffled at how Kira degenerated into a weirdly naive YA heroine. But it was a fast read and it was enjoyable. *shrug*

I have enjoyed this series so much and RIDE THE WAVE was a fantastic end for Kira, Jasin, Auric, Slade, and Reven's journey. They've come so far and fought so hard and I was happy with their ending as they finally confront the Black Dragon and her mates. While this book includes Kira bonding with Reven, it's not the focus. We've already seen Reven falling for Kira through the other books and after the ending of SHAKE THE EARTH Reven had already confronted his real feelings for Kira. Instead, this one is focused more on the build-up to the battle against the Dragons and I enjoyed seeing all the different factions come together.

It was also nice to see all of Kira's mates finding friendship in each other and recognizing that they're all a family now. And of course, I was happy to finally have a sexy scene of Kira with all her men. As a bonus I loved the multiple epilogues, one each for Jasin, Auric, Slade, and Reven that shows readers how everyone has been in the years following the battle. I won't say much else because I don't want to spoil anything, but I really enjoyed this one.

As Slade said, we were a family, bound to each other, heart and soul, our destinies entwined from our first breaths to the day we would leave this world.

This was a great end to this sexy series. The romance, action, and adventure this group went on gave me exactly what I needed: Fun!

The story starts right where the previous one left off and is packed with surprises. There were some great twists with the world and more than a few familiar faces. I think there were some moments that could have been extended, especially in regards to the men and some connections to their past, but for the most part I was happy with how things turned out.

I was relieved to finally see Reven get some more time in the spotlight. His tragic backstory made him my favourite of the four, and I was glad to see his arc completed. Kira is still a great character though I wasn’t sure I agreed with some of her reactions.

This story was packed with action, though there were a few moments I would have liked to see unfold rather than simply hear about it.

All in all, I’m happy with this finale and think it is a great series for anyone looking for a fun, sexy read to brighten their day!

couldn’t have asked for a better end to this series. honestly soo good. the first 3 books are a little repetitive of each others but that’s to be expected for the journey that they were on. but over all, the series is a solid 7/10

I truly loved this entire series so much. It is definitely going into one of my favorite fantasy rh series of all time.

I did not see any of the plot twists coming at all, which is so important to me when reading a series. I love all of the character's and i wish i could just read about them forever.

Reven was my favorite because i normally love the brooding asshole the most. He is most definitely an i hate everyone but you character which i ate up.

This series is amazing and definitely deserves more attention so if you are debating picking this up i think you should!

The final war was so good! The whole series could have been written a lot better but it was still very entertaining. I really enjoyed seeing all of Kiras mates grow and adapt to their roles and i look forward to reading Soras story.

Really really enjoyed the ending of this series.

Its a series I've had so much fun reading and one that I haven't forgotten easily. I straight away knew I needed to read this book for a challenge as I could recall the plot from the series and knew this would work.

Its a shame its ending but I'm curious to read what the author does to her twin sister.
