EDITED: the title has been updated for more recent editions. I have not read this edition but hope that the content has also been updated to address the below concerns. The audiobook edition has not been updated.
Original: I know this was written before it was well known that it’s a slur against the Romani people but it should be noted for anyone going into this series in the current time that the slur is used often in this book as well as the title. The term is accurate for the time period but should not be used now, the depiction of the Romani people is also very stereotypical.
While this book contains important information, if you choose to skip this book, the 7th one will catch you up on what you missed in a preface.
