Content Warnings: Blood, gore, death of children, death of animals, sexual assault, fatphobia, and torture. Mention of: pedophilia, child abuse, death of a parent, and child abuse.

These early books really hit differently as an adult...and not in a good way 😅

*reread oct 2022*

This book of all my rereads so far was much better in my mind. I enjoyed the character development a lit but there was just too much going on in the plot. It made the mystery not as easy to solve but it felt like that was because certain things didnt make sense.

I think it was the murder subplot. If ot had just been the teen turned vampire that would have bern okay, but there were so many elements.

Byt some Jean Claude backstory! Bath scene! Thats the goods
