Oh my!!!!! I now understand why everyone wanted to put Mr. Kristoff in the corner. Just when you get settled into the story line, things twist and change and surprise even until the very last sentence. It leaves you yearning for more and desperate. For me the characters are rich, visible, and believed. The plot is much different than what I have read in recent years which keeps me enthralled and excited. BUT definitely not for the faint of heart. Gory and brutal, unafraid of the dark corners... brilliant!!

I was on the edge of my seat in the last 100 pages, I was so invested in seeing how the finale played out, and am I ever glad I wasn't reading these as they were being published.

Mia goes through some real character development that is great to see given all we learned about her and her motives in book one. Is her revenge worth it at the cost of all else as she originally thought? And of course we get more questions about the darkin and their passengers.

I am also loving the narrator and the footnotes, pg 278-279 being my absolute favorite.

The middle was a little slow but those last 100 pages HIT. So many revelations, so much drama!! I’m here for it. Perfect.

This book is absolutely amazing. It keeps me on the edge of my seat and then surprises me just when I think I have it figured out. I will ready anything the author writes from now on, just absolutely impressed!!
