This one was definitely the hardest for me to follow, and I’m genuinely not sure what happened. But it still has a lot of the pieces i love from this series - richly deep characters that are truly morally grey, and in this book they really start tipping the scales towards morally very dark grey.

Unfortunately a poor ending for the trilogy. The first half of the book drags and drags with never ending paragraphs of exposition and inner thoughts without anything actually happening. And what eventually happened felt pretty pointless and disappointing.

I liked the previous books, but unfortunately not this one.

Not feeling it currently but I'll come back to it another time! Will probably also listen to this as an audiobook instead

80% of this was exactly what I came for and have been vibing with: unhinged homosexuality, insane dialogue, power plays, lunatic girlbosses- but the last 20% was so baffling to me that I had to knock it down a number :( I THINK I SEE THE VISION AND HONESTLY I AM LOWKEY IMPRESSED OLIVIE WENT THERE TM LIKE DAMN BUT ALSO ?????  IM ANGRY AND SAD but also some of it was extremely good even when i was angry and sad so idk man

But overall this trilogy is extremely fun and way better than I expected it to be even if it couldn’t stick the landing sigh. SUCH IS LIFE

72% of this was so boring I wanted to DNF. At the 80% mark it started to turn around but once I finished the book I was utterly confused.

Honestly, it's really well written, but very depressing. Very futile and honestly I wish I didn't read it so everyone stayed happy in my mind.

I hesitantly give this a 2 star rating (this may change after I've had more time to truly digest). I enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy, and I also enjoyed a few parts of this book. However, something was just off. I found that I really disliked and had problems with what happened in this book.

Update: I am very disappointed.
