This book certainly answered a few questions we've had since the first book, namely, what happened in Dixie's past as well as Summer's relationship with her grandmother. Although we're still left with a few questions hanging, like, Will Summer's mother really get away with what she did to her daughter? What was the grandmother's supposed announcement at the disastrous dinner party? At first, I was curious to find out, but now? I kind of just don't care.

Hey you! Read this book.

I was so excited when I heard Summer had a new mystery on her hands. Blazing Summer allows you to see more into the Sweet Briar world and Summer's family life and history. I love Summer's cousin Dixie and her vivacious spirit so when Dixie is brought into the mix,as a reader, I was rooting for Summer to get to the bottom of it. So many emotions are intricately twisted through this story. I can't wait for Summer's next investigation!

Blazing Summer is the next chapter in Summer Butler's new career as a Reality Series Private Investigator. I enjoyed this book even more than the first. Summer's story heats up in this tale of loyalty, family and someone believing in you even when you don't believe in yourself. I highly recommend this book.

Smokin’ got read!

As always DGS does it again. Her books grab your attention in the first chapter and doesn’t let go until you realize it’s 3 in the morning and NEED to find out what’s going to happen. Her books are addicting and just so good. Summer is one kick ass PI and her series is a definite read. Can’t wait for what’s to come for America’s Darling.

I loved this book and once it got going i couldn’t put it down I’m my caffeine induced insomnia. However i only gave it 4 stars because i found a lot of spelling errors which is very unlike her! Maybe it was just a goof, but other than that completely riveted!

Brilliant, excellent... I want more!!!

I can really see Summer having non stop adventures. I hope Denise gets to write more, I would love to see more POV’s of Dixie, Teddy & Luke. I want to see Teddy find a girl!

This was a great read, I really like Summers characters and the rest of the cast. I like Lukes character but I’m not 100% sold on him and Summer for a HEA maybe if there is a next book it will go deeper into their relationship.

Overall another fab book by Denise, I highly recommend!!!!

I enjoyed this book.
This was my first in the series. There was a good recap in the beginning (brief and to the point), so I felt caught up with the background.
I enjoyed the complex relationship between the cousins (Summer, Dixie and Teddy) and really liked how, although family can be complicated, they were sticking together. I found Summer strong and fun and smart. I also enjoyed the reality show concept.

I both read and listened to the audio (on my commute) and the narrator was excellent.

I honestly don’t believe Denise Swank could write something I wouldn’t like. This book kept up the same quick pace as the first book and was hard to put down. It’s hard not to love the variety of characters, with all their quirks and Southern mannerisms.
