Although it could have used a thorough editor, the theme of pain and trauma being experienced in isolation is still prevalent and Cujo the St. Bernard deserved a better end.

If this would've been written entirely (or mostly at least) in Cujo's point of view, this could've been a four star book. But the unnecessary, hideously boring jarring affairs, childhood memories and what other garbage (like Steve Kemp's existence) that didn't further the plot and didn't grow on the characters made this such a drag to read. The amount of characters with no relevance and still five pages worth of character background made me want to quit the story. Typical Stephen King.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. It was extremely tense, with a terrifying premise. With some graphic violence the book may not be for everyone. Being a big fan of the movie, I finally decided to read the book and was completely thrown off guard. Well done.
