I won this at a local convention.
All and all, this book was pretty cute. Some stories were better than others by far. "Bound by Blood" was pretty good. The best two though were probably "The Last Bite" and "Blue Solace."
"The Last Blood" I wish was expanded. I feel like it has the makings of an interesting supernatural dystopian novel. The characters themselves weren't super interesting, but the world around them was.
"Blue Solace" I liked because it addressed the importance of consent and not taking advantage of someone when they're emotionally vulnerable.
Some of the ones that fell flat for me had the romance happen in a way that seemed forced ("Learning to Heal") or had a confusing premise ("A Pirate's Love").
Most of the others were somewhere in between. I do have to give props also to "Ember to Inferno" for having the cheeky line about what's under a Scottsman's kilt.
