A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts by J.K. Rowling, Pottermore Publishing

Lacking in substance, brushes over interesting stories in far too little detail, seems disorganised and jumpy.
2 stars, but both of these are not for the facts, rather for the titbits of Rowling drafts and drawings speckled (perhaps incongruously) throughout the book.

This book is really written like it is a schoolbook. Therefore, it wasn’t my favourite thing to read...

It tells a bit about the history of Charms and DADA. How spells came to work and objects to be charmed. How the Dark Arts are considered that: dark and there’s information about mythical monsters.
It was a nice read, reading history related things (not only about the Wizarding world, but the Muggle world as well). Loved to see the illustrations JK Rowling made when she was working on Harry Potter.
If your into history and Harry Potter I recommend this lovely quick read.

It could have done so much better!!! Only additional star for the quote “let’s face it, it’s hard to look at a full moon without thinking of Lupin and /that/ transformation.”
