I loved this authors previous books in this series and this short novella was a capitivating and fabulous read.
Ryan and Tessa were childhood friends and over the years their lives took different paths but they communicated with each other every day. Tessa is in town at last and the two reunite and both find the attraction that was always there reignited.
I loved Ryan, he kind and caring, loves his family and spends time with them when not fighting fires. Tessa fits right back into his life with ease and their spark and connection only grows stronger.
Although it’s a fake dating romance it was clear from the start that there was nothing fake about Ryan and Tessa.
Wonderful novella, spicy and sweet and cannot wait to read the next two books in the series. A wonderful well written romance.

Tessa (from Falling for Whiskey Duet) is heading to Tahoe to be her best friend Ryan's fake girlfriend for his sister's wedding. These two have been best friends since childhood, but each have been harbouring secret feelings for the other.
Tessa was the my favourite character from the Falling for Whiskey duet and I continued to loved her in this spicy novella. She is wild and sassy, unequivocally herself.
I loved Ryan and Tessa's dynamic. You could cut the tension with a knife, their chemistry was absolutely fire.
I loved lumbersnack Ryan! He is swoonworthy! I love the relationship he has with his niece, it is absolutely adorable.
My only 2 complaints were... We didn't need Shawn's POV and I wish this had have been a full length novel instead of a novella. I want more of them!
Tropes: fake dating, one bed, best friends to lovers
