Immortal Skye takes place shortly after the events of Forever Chose and where Forever Chosen is dark and can be brutal to read Immortal Skye is not as dark. There are still moments you feel for the main character Julia and the hardships she goes through. But in true KL Bone fashion her damsel knows how to take care of herself. Not only that but the visual aspect of the story is written so beautifully you feel as if you could be there. KL Bone definitely has a way of writing that transports you into her stories.

Vampire Mates by K.L. Bone is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kylie Stewart.

I absolutely love K.L.’s Books! This story took me on an emotional roller coaster. I knew the story was a novella length but I couldn’t help but want more of Ronan and Julia’s story.

Kylie did an amazing job on the narration! She really knows how to bring a story to life.

This was a short, very quick read. And because it’s short, we don’t get to know the characters or the world that well. This book is about Julia and Ronan. Ronan is Julia’s soulmate but Julia was forced to wed another and forced to forget Ronan.

It was entertaining but I wish there was more to it.

This was such a sweet and heart tugging story. I didn’t want it to end! I really wanted to know the next chapter of their life. It’s short but good! 3.5stars

This book wasn’t really for me. It was a quick read and I didn’t have any problems with the writing, but neither the characters nor the plot captured my interest at all. I was kind of bored.

Now, I should point out that I have not read the other books in this series, so I was not familiar with the characters but I went into this book because I was told I didn’t need to read the others to understand this novella. And I didn’t have any problems understanding the plot, it just didn’t capture my interest very much.

Fans of this series or author: what are your favorite books? What should I read next?
