I actually really liked these! Most of them were a glimpse into other characters' lives and I enjoyed that a whole bunch.

An unnecessary book.

There were some good stories, there were some bad stories. Eh.

Meh

I saw this for sale at the airport bookstore yesterday, and picked it up for my kindle before taking off on our Christmas vacation flight. I have refused to purchase or read the final book in the Sookie Stackhouse series after hearing what the author did to the characters, but I did greatly enjoy the series before its ignominious end. Reading stories about various characters, mostly smaller or bit parts from the larger series, written from other points of view was great fun and I enjoyed all of the stories.

My favorite two stories involved Luna the werebat and Pam the vampire, with the final concluding story about Eric interesting as well. The small event that brought Luna and Sookie's nephew together to help find a lost and confused teenage shifter was perfect, and the whole story was a sweet interaction that ended well without involving any of the main characters. Pam has always been my favorite character (with Eric a very close second), and the writing of her story was absolutely beautiful and true to her character, and made me laugh with the sheer perfection of it. As for the last one, the writer managed to pull some meaning from the travesty of the last novel to make it worthwhile for Eric, which I think was deftly done.

If you enjoy other books in this universe, you'll likely enjoy this one. However, there is little to no inclusion of main characters, so if that's what you're looking for this is not the right place for that.

It's a collection of stories that read like fan-fiction. Only one story really captured the essence of the Southern Vampire Mysteries/TrueBlood series.

Some interesting, some good, and some just give you the feels.

This was crap. Don't bother picking it up.
