An easy, enjoyable read. Coyne paints a picture of a friendly, but changing country with a lot of pints and a lot of golf. I read it as a prep for a much shorter Irish golf trip. It's definitely not intended to be a hole-by-hole guide to all the links in Ireland, and I wouldnt say it's required reading for learning the courses. But it was pleasant to read and definitely left me excited to get over there and experience some Irish golf.

I really wanted to love this book, but I walked away with the feeling that it could have been a magazine article rather than a book. The last 50 pages were much better than the rest tho and salvaged it for me.
