Baked is exactly what it aspires to be, but it doesn't aspire to all that much.

wildly entertaining; diverse cast of characters just quirky enough to be realistic; interesting to learn of the "cannabis cup" and the intricate science of creating marijuana strains--it's serious business.

A fun read but overall an okay book. I enjoyed though!

Baked is my second book by Mark Haskell Smith and definitely won’t be my last. Smith’s books thus far have been a little in the vein of Carl Hiaasen as far as humor, mystery and slightly quirky characters especially in sexual situations. Smith’s inclusion and handling of young Mormons on admission was especially funny. This is a light 4 star and truly a fun and entertaining story.

One of the best books that I have read in a very long time. For once i have found an author that can keep me entertained throughout an entire book. I started on this book and never wanted to put it down, finished it in three days (which is good for me considering my work schedule). I'm not very good at giving explanations and details so sorry for the lack of graphic description but trust me you will not be sorry you picked up this book, it makes me wish I would have learned of him sooner because now I'm having to start from the beginning of his books but it is well worth it.

This was certainly something different but in a good way. It definitely isn't a book I'd pick up in a bookstore but as judge a book by its cover randomly skimming the library shelves it panned out nice. Not a book for everyone but if you don't mind drugs, sex and a whole lot of shenanigans it is worth a go.
