Initial thoughts: this felt like we as readers started in a middle of romance book instead of at the beginning. The hero and heroine had known each other for a year already and the hero was just denying that she was his mate that whole time. The book felt like it took place over just two days for most of it and they fell in love (or maybe already were and just admitted it to themselves in this book?) idk it just didn’t seem like we got to see their relationship grow as it seemed to happen off the page during that year we read about them knowing each other and then out of the blue one weekend things just escalated and then they were in love and he was sharing that he was a dragon shifter
