Whimsical, cozy and lustrous, this book is a great night time read with a dash of tension. I find the characters enjoyable, though forgettable. However, I really like the angst and tension between Torrin and Sidra. I greatly enjoyed this book, but it is forgettable. Will recommend.

This story has such heart as well as great characters! The love stories are a slow burn but so worth it! And the ending, omg! I'm so glad I already own the sequel!

This book is good. And things happen. But nothing happens. The Scottish isle vibes are strong and really cozy. But I need something more vibrant to happen. I think this is an unfortunate mix of Ross’s style clashing with the spirit of “cozy fantasy.” I don’t not recommend it, but I certainly didn’t look forward to picking this book up.

I read this book for a book club I’m in. I don’t think this book is bad by any means, I just don’t really think it was for me. I don’t read fantasy books very often so I don’t know if that was throwing me off or if it was that I liked all of the side characters more than the two main characters. Over all it was very well written and everything just a lot of the time I was thinking I didn’t really care what happened.
