I enjoyed this novel - it was an easy to read page turner. I liked the characters and thought that the story played out at a good pace.

However, there were a couple of things that annoyed me:
1) I had already worked out the plot twist.
2) Although I understood why, I found Pieta's reluctance to help the police annoying.
3) I would have liked to have found out what happened to Ned in the end.

Overall, 4 stars from me.

I’ve been reading Dorothy Koomson for what, almost 10 years? It’s NOT her best work at all. I still liked it and was absorved in the story, but I did not connect with the characters at all and the end was just, what? It wasn’t even conclusive, I have no idea if there is gonna be a part 2. Well, I guess every great author has to have a weaker book
