"'And then one day the invisible man decided,' the monster said, 'I will make them see me.'
'How?' Connor asked. (...)
'He called,' it said, 'for a monster.'"

This was so beautifully written, so beautifully illustrated. It totally wasn't what I expected when I began reading it and that was amazing. I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't read it yet, just that it was incredibly heartbreaking, but so so amazing! Patrick Ness is such a talented writer. I bawled my eyes out for the last 50 pages of this book and I'm still not okay, but I needed to write this review to get it off my chest and to tell GR how great this book is!

A veces se me hacía muy simple la lectura pero acercándose el final empecé a entender todo y se transformó en hermoso. Es un libro muy simple pero al mismo tiempo muy potente.

"There is not always a good guy. Nor is there always a bad one. Most people are somewhere inbetween" - The Mosnster

Sensational, just a sensational novel.

I loved this novel and it also made me so sad because of the truth and reality spoken in the novel. And how it was an homage to Siobhan Dowd.

I'm probably the last person on earth to have read this book, even though I would coin Patrick Ness as one of my favourite authors. I am finally glad I got to it and do not regret a thing.

This book was dark, funny and heart breaking. The love that Connor had for this mother and the self hatred he had for himself was truly sad to read about but also held so much truth in it.

He felt so guilty thinking the thoughts that he did. The monster really did come as a blessing for him to realize that thoughts don't dictate a person's worth, actions do.

All the characters were wonderful, reading them through Connor's gaze makes the adults in the novel seem irritating at first but in reality they seemed to understand something that Connor only figured out towards the end of the novel.

All in all this was a wonderful and important story. I understand all the acclaim that it has had, it definitely makes sense now.
