I liked the characters a lot, especially the librarians. The Western setting was great, but I agree with others that more time spent on world-building would have made for an enjoyable story.

The idea was there the execution was not. But I am always going to give queer badassery a chance

Really enjoyed this book, loved the representation, loved the growth. I especially loved that they didn't spend a ton of ti.e world building. There were hints and bits but no huge lore drops. I can't remember a book where I loved every character the way that I did in this book. Maybe light from distant stars?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, and I read it at the exact right time. I loved the librarians so much, and I loved (and needed) that ending.

Fast, cute, metaphor for coming out and discovering found family / community. Low trauma/trigger similarities to Handmaids / dystopian journey to freedom. Hopeful dystopian.

I like how it ended on a hopeful note. This was cute, queer and quick.
