This book is about luck and how luck overlaps with belief, culture, superstition, and tradition in people’s lives. While discussing luck with people, the author documented his findings to create a physical archive that contains hundreds of objects and the stories and pictures that go with them. People from all over the world send him their lucky items!⁣

I was given a copy of this book when I interned at @tupress and never got around to actually reading every mini-story. Originally, I had decided to finally read this book because I needed a quick read to put me back on track for my Goodreads #ReadingChallenge. ⁣

I am only giving it 3 stars because I wish the author had given more context and detail about some of the items, especially the items that had a strong relationship to a specific culture. The concept for this book is great, I just wish it had been executed better.⁣
