Wow! Gruesome for sure and we can't just give Tooru a break, but the plot really moves forward and there are some great reveals.

Oh man! So much went down!

Arima is dead (he was a half-ghoul/the one-eyed king this whole time!).

Kaneki is now the king (a la Chronicles of Riddick).

The CCG was infiltrated by ghouls in the top brass this whole time!

"Re" means king! (I should've known given the Spanish 'rey'!)

Holy smokes! This is finally getting interesting again!
