I loved that we got more into Kane’s family history and how everyone worked together to save their loved ones. I want too happy about how Jade and Kane’s wedding was rudely interrupted but later in the book it still all worked out. Off to read the next book in this series.

The Incubus of Bourbon Street is a 2015 Bayou Moon Press Publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Oh no! I think I am actually caught up with this series, which means I now have to patiently, or impatiently wait for the next installment.

In this sixth chapter of the series, Jade and Kane have not even had a chance to enjoy married life when they are once again summoned to help out in the paranormal realm. This time the angels are in serious trouble as their energy is being mysteriously drained. Although the Brotherhood of demon hunters and the angels may share a common goal, they usually do not condone one another, putting Kane is an awkward position, but then he finds out his incubus energy is allegedly causing a disruption and until the matter can be resolved he is out of the brotherhood. To make matters worse a lesser Goddess arrives in search of a fountain of youth, something that apparently requires the spirits of mortal souls to achieve, which puts Jade's three besties in serious danger.

As the series has progressed one thing has remained constant, and that is the fast pace of each book, with several events going on that all tie in together, which makes the book hard to put down. I think I have read every one of these in one sitting.

Sometimes the atmosphere is darker and sometimes it's lighter. In this case, the situation falls somewhere in between. Kane and Jade still manage to come through a harrowing paranormal interlude still intact, and perhaps looking to take things to a new level for them in the near future, if they aren't summoned once again to save souls, kill demons or delve into the council's unorthodox politics. I can't wait to find out what happens next. 4 stars
