Very, very nerve wrenching. The words on these pages will really make you cry (well if you have any type of soul). The ending is harsh and cruel but it's needed because life isn't always perfect so why should portray it as so?
LOVED IT

Not that thrilled with the way the books turned out. I loved the first one! The ideas set in there really had something. It didn't turn out as I expected, which was okay but it made me feel like the book is wanting something.

It is four a.m. and I have to go to work in a few hours. I think that says it all..

This is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. It started slow for me, but the second and third book in the series just blew me away. I fell in love with Gemma, the realms, the Victorian era, the pretty dresses and the fierceness of the girls.

I read Rebel Angels at the beginning of April and wanted to read the third book very soon after. But the size just intimidated me. This is a book with over 800 pages. You don't just fly through it. I also read a lot of reviews where readers said that they found most of the book somewhat tedious and that the last few hundred pages saved the book for them. That's when I was really anxious to read it. So I just didn't. Until I finally picked it up in December only to put it down again after reading about two chapters into the story. However I did pick it up at the beginning of January and I just flew through this story.

The writing was, as in the previous books, just wonderful. I loved the behaviour of all of the posh ladies and girls and the gentlemen as well. This flair is something I really like reading about. The tea parties, the gowns, the balls, etc.

Also. This girl power and the relation to the character development of the girls was brilliant.
As much as I loathed Ann, I loved her just as much in this novel. Her character had so much more depth to her troughout the third book that I couldn't understand how I ever loathed her so much.
Felicity is great and strong female character who claims her freedom no matter the cost, which I admired very much.
And lastly Gemma. Being torn between her own life and the good of all she did make her mistakes. But she also learned from them and that's what counts.

There comes not one scene to mind where I thought that the story was tedious or that I expected a different outcome of this part or that. No. The story was so beautifully woven together and the ending was open, yes, but (!) I also found closure in it. It was just fitting to end this trilogy like it did and I am happy for it. I enjoyed every page of this enourmous beast.

I thought this was the best of the trilogy. I was afraid it was going to drag on because it was over 800 pages, but it actually kept my attention the whole time.

I know lots of people were not in love with this ending but I thought it was very fitting. Was it the best ending that I have ever read? no. Could it have ended other more complete ways? yes. But unlike many other endings this one was in fact satisfying and complete.

I was surprised at the size of the final book in comparison too the pervious two novels. I found that the third book was a little bit on the long side, but I enjoyed the whole thing and didn't feel like it dragged on at all.
