Even though I studied literature, poetry has never been a strength for me. Maybe it would be if I were exposed to more poetry like Chase Dimock's. From science, to history, to art, to biography, Dimock finds a way to make his works interdisciplinary. Some, like "A Boy an His Pinata" or "PT Barnum Presents the Egress" had me in stitches, while others like "Gladdis: A True Televised Story" or "The Vulture and the Little Girl" broke my heart. Any I would gladly read again and again, and I look forward to doing so.
