The Shepherd is the first Frederick Forsyth book that I have read. It is a short book/novella and extremely well written. It takes place during WWII and takes place over several hours. There is an element of the supernatural. I really enjoyed it.

A very nice, short, Christmas story. An English RAF pilot is flying home for the holiday but soon encounters various difficulties.
